Amy Helser has been a flutist and pianist since childhood. She is a 2010 graduate of UAHuntsville, where she studied with Bob Gifford, earning a Bachelor of Music in flute performance. Amy is flute teacher on the staff at Valley Conservatory in Huntsville. She is a member of the First Baptist Church Orchestra, and is an active freelance musician. She has been flutist on premiers of compositions by Sara McDaris in collaboration with renowned composer Emma Lou Diemer, and also on compositions by local composers, Curtis Lindsay, and Dr. Ron Wray. Amy is employed as a music ministry assistant at First Baptist Church in Huntsville. She is married, and has one daughter, Robin, who works as a zookeeper at the Red River Zoo in Fargo, North Dakota.
