|Kristin Woods, a rich lyric soprano, began her classical vocal journey in high school as a member of the Oakwood Adventist Academy choir under the direction of Dr. J. Phillip Williams. This newly kindled love, lead her to pursue a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Oakwood University, where she studied under Dr. Julie Moore Foster. She is currently obtaining her Master of Music in Vocal Performance at Belmont University where she is studying with Dr. Keith Moore.
Her operatic roles include Adele in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus and First Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at Oakwood University, and Alice in Wilder’s Sunday Excursion and Cendrillon in Massenet’s Cendrillon at Belmont University. She has participated in master classes with Dr. Angelique Clay Everett, Conductor Lucy Arner, and Amy Tate Williams of the Nashville Opera as clinicians. In 2013, she received third place in the ALANATS (Alabama National Association for Teachers of Singing) competition.
